15 years and a lifetime

When I was this little, I didn't know much about life other than the small little world that was around me (and that serrated knives should NOT be used to cut tape- I still have the scar).

I learned to "play" house with my sister.

I learned that cousins are really friends for life that just happen to be related to you.  And I learned that friends that share parents and crimping irons will always be there for you.

That sisters, no matter how much you fight and argue, will also always be there for you.

That as times change in our lives, and no matter how long we go without a conversation, that all it takes is a call or text and we will be there immediately for the other.

I learned that memories are amazing and can positively influence who we are today if we allow it to.  Also, I have learned that every relationship that ends in one capacity will pick up in another.

That sweet 21 is usually better than sweet 16 and earrings last forever even if the dress does not.

Road trips with friends are a lot of fun.

And I have learned that God gives us great examples of love even from cranky people who marry non-cranky people and turn into happy people.

And I have learned that in the most unexpected of places, half way around the world, God can give you an amazing gift in an amazing man.

Where a love so strong is expressed,

grows,

expands,

and shares it's strength with others.

Where new adventures turn into life long memories together.

And where you know you are doing something right when your kids are embarrassed about the affection you show each other often.

And that even though we don't know what tomorrow will bring, we do know that we won't be going through it alone.

Happy 15 years together, my love, my groom. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't thank God for you and the love that we share.
