Day 11: Don't Quit

"And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint." Galatians 6:9

No one is perfect. "If we're not careful, we allow the devil to point to what we haven't accomplished and where we have been weak. When that happens, it's easy to feel bad or want to give up." (Meyers, pg. 37)

 "No matter how we mess up our lives, God doesn't give up on us." pg 37

Think about that one for a minute!

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you...; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you." Isaiah 43:1b-2

Prayer:
God, despite my failures, You are with me, encouraging me not to give up.  Please help me to remember that, with Your help, I can win.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Sometimes, when I'm at new gatherings and it is time to introduce myself, I want to say, "Hi, my name is Mary and I'm a sinner". 

I know I am not perfect. 

I'm far from it.

But, I God tells us to dwell on the good, not the bad, in our lives.  So here are a few things that I think are good within me (not in any particular order):

Kind,     Creative,     Caring,     GREAT MOM,     FAITHFUL WIFE,     loving,     willing to help,     hard worker,     fantastic work ethic,    good listener,     Daughter of God,    patient,    athletic,    not a quitter,      endurance,     not a neat freak (yes, I think that's a good thing),     humble,     aware of my weaknesses,     aspiring runner,     volunteer,    

 happily exhausted



Happy Valentines everyone.  May it be filled with knowing that you are loved by a God that never stops loving us, no matter how many times we screw up.
