A Pajama Christmas

Some Christmas days should be spent in pajamas.  Today was one of those days.

It was actually a fairly easy feat as we had no family get-togethers to run off to, and even if we did, we couldn't go as Christian has been running a fever for three days straight.

We stayed up late watching a dumb movie "A Christmas Story".  (I know, there are many fans of this movie, I am not one of them- nor do I like "National Lampoon's Christmas"- don't judge, I am simply not a fan :-)  ).

Christmas morning came and like many mom friends I have, I had to wake up my angels.

They were spoiled with .22s, air soft pistols and accessories, gum, legos, and the big shebang of Kindle Fires.  Alyssa got my fire from last year and we bought Christian a new one.  Now he needs to get his Kindle from last year from his room so I can have that as I really just read from them and they play more games.

My wonderful husband bought me a Kuerig with a ton of samples for it!!!  So far, they are all a hit with myself, husband and kids!  He also got me an arm band for my LifeProof phone case so I can run easier with  it!!!  I was a bit spoiled :-)

So was he, though, with new Infinity speakers for his truck.  He also received an acoustic guitar, but it's a bit too small for him, so I will need to bring that back to the store and hope to get money rather than a store credit back so I can use it to get him one more of his size.  I feel kinda bad though about that gift, as I love listening to people play guitar and am SUPER geeked to hear him learn more and play for me.

For dinner, I made ribeye steaks, loaded mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and rolls.  Dessert was a homemade New York Cheesecake with strawberries and homemade whipped topping.  Yum!  I did learn something pretty important from ll of this... more expensive meat CAN be cooked and taste amazing by someone who doesn't know much about cooking steak and cheesecake is expensive because it is very hard to make without cracking or sinking (both of which mine did).  Good thing I was going for taste and not looks :-)

I tried to upload pictures for everyone, but for whatever reason, I can't which is probably a good thing because if you saw how amazing the food looked, you'd be over to eat it in a minute and I'm still in my pajamas.

Now, it's time to tuck the kiddos in bed and pray my son feels better in the morning.

Tomorrow is a cleaning day.
