Day 10- Known by our Fruit

Jesus said, "Either make the tree sound (healthy and good), and its fruit sound, or make the tree rotten, and its fruit rotten; for the tree is known and recognized and judged by its fruit. You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks." Matthew 12: 33-34

Trying to change words without first altering the thoughts is backwards. (Meyers, pg. 34, paraphrased).

"If I believe God truly loves me, and if I enjoy fellowship with Him every day, I'm planting good seeds in my own heart. The more good seeds I plant, the more good fruit I produce. The more I think kind and loving thoughts, the more I see others as kind and loving." (pg. 35)

Prayer:
"Dear loving and forgiving God, I ask You to forgive me for all the harsh things I've said about other people. Also, please forgive me for allowing harsh thoughts to fill my mind- about myself or about others. I know I can't make myself more loving, but you can. Please, help me focus on healthy, positive thoughts, for I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen." (pg. 35)

**********My Thoughts**********
Tomorrow is February 14th, Valentines Day.

A day where we tell the people in our lives how much we love them.

A day of candy and flowers and maybe jewelry.

A day of sugared up kids, and frazzled parents.

A day of love.  For others.

All of that is nice and all, but I propose doing something a little different this year.

What about

making a list

of all the things

you love

about

yourself.

Think about it.  Have you ever thought about yourself like that?  How God sees you?

Who cares about how other people see you?  God matters.  And He sees amazing things in you.

Can you see them?

Tomorrow, I'll share what I love about myself (it'll take me a day or so to think of some), may you take some time to think about this as well.
