Day 25: Ready Minds

"Now these were better disposed and more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they were entirely ready and accepted and welcomed the messae with inclination of mind and eagerness, searchin and examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so." Acts 17: 11

"Only people who are humble enough to continue learning will ever succeed." (Meyers, pg. 84).

Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, please give me a ready mind. Enable me to hear You clearly and easily. Enable me to say, "Yes, Lord," no matter what Your Spirit has to say to me.  I want to have a ready mind that pleases You in everything. I ask this in Your name. Amen."

********** My Thoughts ***********

Today's reading was about having a ready mind.  A mind that is open to hear what God is trying to tell you, not just what you want to hear. 

At this moment, my mind is so preoccuppied about an interview I have in the morning.  I'm not prepared for it, but I'm not overly nervous either.  Anxious may be a better word for what I am feeling.

May God give me the words that I need to say to either get the job or not dependin on His will.  May my mind be open to other ideas if that is the way I need to go.
